Amxander is a brand that observes the reconfiguration of definitive social uniforms from different eras, cultures, and occupations. As the co-creative and business lead for Australian menswear label, AMXANDER, Forward Collective is responsible for building the young company’s collection development, merchandising, operational infrastructure, product development, creation and coordination of all marketing activities. Working closely with the label’s co-founder, Forward Collective is also responsible for key strategic, creative and financial decisions for the firm.
Selected Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and establishment of scalable supply chain processes and structure.
• Creation and development of the brand’s web and social media presence across Eastern and Western markets.
•Getting features in GQ Australia, Vogue China, Elle, Men’s Style and Harper’s Bazaar,
• Development of stable financial strategy and growth plan for the brand, overseeing all transactions and ROI on decisions.
• Optimised merchandise and product development, to ensure optimal buy and sell strategy, whilst maintaining core product/brand value proposition.
• Establishment, creation and execution of all digital content, touchpoints and e-commerce strategy.
• Development of wholesale network, and third-party distribution networks.
• Co-ordinated and established external partnerships, inclusive of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, VAMFF (Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival), i-D Magazine, The Woolmark Company.
• Generation of press from key apparel influencers and publications across domestic and foreign markets including Fucking Young!, WeAR, Pause Mag, Wild, Ragtrader, GQ, i-D, Vogue and Manuscript.
• Established product development infrastructure, focusing on market responsiveness, lean production and future scalability.
• Nominated as Australian menswear finalist for the Woolmark Prize, an esteemed international for young designers, in 2017/18.
• Nominated as Australian National Designer Award in 2018.
• Advocated and organised government support grants for growth expenditures.
